Norman Arts Council
Founded in 1976, the NORMAN ARTS COUNCIL (NAC) enriches the Norman community by stimulating its artistic, cultural and economic growth. The NAC provides financial assistance, program opportunities, information and advocacy for the arts and humanities in Norman. NAC programs expand our children's education, improve the quality of life for all Norman's citizens, and celebrate the excitement and vitality that the arts bring to the community.  Synergy Rhythm Event Guest Artist Programs and Educational Support Groups in the Norman Public Schools are provided by NAC funding!

 

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society 
The Oklahoma Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society provides education, support, and services for Oklahomans dealing with blood cancers. The Community Cancer Coalition, comprised of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, INTEGRIS Health, Mercy Health System, and the OU Medical Center, sponsors a fall Wellness Retreat and a Health and Wellness Drumming support group every second Thursday of the month at the OU Health Sciences Center for Healthy Living. Innergy, LLC
Innergy, LLC,  is a company dedicated to providing holistic education and training opportunities for wellness of mind, body, and spirit. American Music Therapy Association
The AMTA is the national organization music therapists.  AMTA sets standards and guidelines for completion of educational requirements for music therapy education and is active on a national/regional  level to promote the efficacy of music therapy provided by trained professionals.  If you are interested in music therapy as a career choice or would like to know how to find a music therapist in your area...this is a great place to start.  ADD-FIRE clinician Todd Balcom,MT-BC is a member of the AMTA

Ed loves to drum. He taught himself to play his dad's drum kit when he was a boy, mostly by playing along with records. Ever since then, he's been tapping on the furniture, the steering wheel, and everything else that makes a sound. Presently, his two main interests with drumming are the amazing West African traditions and the modern American drum circles.  Ed facilitates community rhythm events and performs and records in the Nashville area.
